New Year 2021 – Happy New Year!

New Year 2021

Fact: 360 million (more than that) glasses of wine are consumed every New Year’s Eve celebrations?

New Year 2021 is about to come and it’s an excellent time to start anew.

Be extra secure

One of the first things you need to do? Protect yourself against cyber crimes.

“Hackers will be exploiting the security vulnerabilities that come with remote work. When people are scared and isolated, it’s much easier to target them because they are not using good cyber hygiene — it’s the last thing they’re often worried about in a panic.”

Aleksandr Yampolskiy, CEO of SecurityScorecard

Unfortunately, you can’t change how other people behave. Try as you may but you’ll only get frustrated if you change their course.

Hackers, for example, can and will use their skills to take advantage of your vulnerabilities. There’s no way around that.

And the more unfortunate part is that these people are sharpening their creativity skills. Translation: They are getting more and more clever as they hijack systems.

What you can — and should — do? Be a step ahead.

Before they can exploit you, protect yourself and have a line of defense already in place. Take cybersecurity seriously by keeping your sensitive information safe, installing an anti-virus program in your PC, and more.

Celebrate

And in the midst of it all, find the time to sit back, relax, and enjoy what life has to offer.

2020 hasn’t been great — mostly because of covid-19. But hey, it’s no reason to have an ungrateful heart or overlook life’s milestones.

Just think of 2020 as a bump in the middle of your journey. Sure, you may have hit a bump.

Ain’t it over, though?

Remember, a brand new year — New Year 2021 — is about to break in and that in itself is worthy of a celebration.

Like the fact we dug up for you says, a million glasses of wine is consumed every New Year’s Eve. It’s proof that people around the world are merry, joyful, and festive this time around.

Why shouldn’t you be, too? So be merry, joyful, and festive this New Year 2021.

Out with the old, in with the new

If a glass of wine doesn’t cut it for you, choose another way to celebrate. Binge watch your favorite movies and TV shows, eat lots of ice cream, or travel to a new city.

You could even buy a megaphone and shout into it — at the top of your lungs.

It doesn’t matter how you celebrate. What matters is you celebrate — and consider it as a way of appreciating the good that happened.

Once you’ve celebrated, it’s time to move on and seize the opportunity for a fresh start. Say goodbye to 2020 and carry on with your journey.

Start fresh, start new.

Old vs. new

How you choose to “start fresh, start anew” is up to you. It’s up to you because it’s your life and you’re supposed to do whatever you want with it.

You can make small yet gradual and profound changes to your life. For example, you can start an exercise routine, get a pet, or pick up a new hobby.

Or you can make a big and radical change. You can leave everything behind — clothes, house, car, et cetera — and move to a new city.

Either way works and they can make you feel satisfied as you close a chapter in your life.
